Blood, Fett, & Tears

So if you’ve been watching the Mandalorian, the latest episode showed the OG Mandalorian, Boba Fett, in all his glory! It was a great episode, indeed. I wanted to commemorate the episode by making a cocktail that was inspired by him. If you didn’t know, the current actor that plays Boba, @tem_morrison , is from New Zealand, so I wanted to use ingredients that are found there.

I pureed a persimmon with 1/2 cup water and simmered it with 1/2 of honey. I made a green kiwi syrup. I also used a Sauvignon Blanc as the base spirit.

I went to go visit my friend, @jackiejax5 , the boba master. She supplied me with the boba pearls that I needed to finish making this drink.


Some of you who have watched Star Wars might ask yourselves, “How did Boba Fett survive? Didn’t he get eaten by the Sarlacc?” He did get “eaten”, twice, if I’m not mistaken. I’m sure his Beskar armor had something to do with his survival or maybe because he’s a stubborn SOB with a strong will to live. Enjoy!
