I don’t know about you, but we’ve been .having some record-breaking heat here in Central Florida. It makes me want to go to a beautiful island and relax by the beach.
Speaking of beautiful islands, this next cocktail uses rum that is made in Mauritius. Home to the pink pigeon, echo parakeet, and extinct dodo. It’s definitely an island that I would love to visit someday.
I paired the rum with pineapple juice, lemon-lime super juice, and a spiced mango syrup. This drink goes down easy and heats the back of your throat. Enjoy!

Spiced Mango Syrup Recipe
Add 1 cup of mango nectar and 1 cup of sugar into a sauce pan. Add about a half a handful of clove, 4 cinnamon sticks, and 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper powder. Simmer on medium heat until you get your desired consistency. Once cooled, strain into a glass container.
