Old Sport

The following is the 2 of 3 cocktails that I made for a client. She threw a Great Gatsby party. I made three signature cocktails representing the three main characters of the story. Nick Carraway, Daisy Buchanan, and Jay Gatsby.

Today we’ll be focusing on Nick Caraway, or as Gatsby calls him, “Old Sport”. I decided to make a riff on an Old Fashioned and made some Caraway syrup. It was a hit among the gentlemen. Enjoy!

Recipe

• 2oz bourbon @treatyoak
• .5oz scratch made caraway syrup
• 6 dashes each of Angostura & orange bitters @angosturahouse ( I used Japanese style bitters bottles)

Served over a @truecubes ice cube
